The Florida Public Archaeology Network will host the first ever Conference on Public Archaeology on September 22-23, 2023, in Pensacola, Florida! Workshops, panels, roundtables, and special events will provide a dedicated space for public-minded archaeologists and cultural heritage practitioners to share experiences and to consider pressing issues within the discipline.

Project Archaeology Staff and National Network members will highlight the successes and possibilities of the dynamic Project Archaeology program. A heritage education roundtable discussion, a Painted Bluff Rock Art mini-workshop, and a Section 106 creative mitigation poster are on the docket during the two-day conference.
