The Project Archaeology Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in conjunction with the Society for American Archaeology conference in New Orleans.

All archaeology educators are welcome, and you do not need to be registered for the conference.

World Heritage Day

World Heritage Day CanvaOn April 18th, stop by the Project Archaeology booth at the SAAs to celebrate World Heritage Day (International Day for Monuments and Sites). We will be accepting donations to support the Project Archaeology program’s efforts to promote the understanding, appreciation, and preservation of our shared cultural heritage through education. #WorldHeritageDay

The legacy of today’s archaeologists will hopefully consist of a better public understanding of the past; an understanding of the important role of archaeology in that pursuit; and the preservation of the nation’s broad archaeological heritage. As an education program, Project Archaeology checks all those boxes.
