Professional Development in Your State

Project Archaeology operates through a network of state programs. State Project Archaeology programs offer professional development workshops for educators, distribute the national curriculum plus state and regional materials, and continue to support teachers in their archaeology education efforts.

  • Active: The program is offering a Project Archaeology workshop, presenting at a conference, and/or developing curriculum.
  • Developing: The program teaches Project Archaeology curricula directly to the public, but does not have formal plans to offer a teacher workshop.
  • Contact Only: The coordinator is responsive to inquiries about the program but does not currently teach curriculum or offer professional development.
  • No Contact: There is no current, trained Project Archaeology coordinator in the state. Contact the national office to start a state program.
