Discover the past through authentic evidence from archaeological sites and oral histories.

In this investigation students will use geography, ecology, history, and archaeology to learn about people’s interconnectedness to their landscapes and ecosystems. Examine artifacts, plant and animal remains, and maps of archaeological sites throughout an area of the Great Basin (this volume). Students use maps, data collecting, and analysis to explore how they get their food today and how people got their food in the past. Students design a menu featuring locally available ingredients.
