Project Archaeology: Investigating Rock Art at Painted Bluff Alabama
We will begin with an introduction to the Project Archaeology (PA) program and its value to social studies and science K-12 educators, and how they can benefit from, utilize, and contribute to the development of PA resources. As an established program of over 35 years, PA can provide formal and informal educators immediate access to high-quality curriculum materials and professional development. At the end of the workshop, teachers will be informed about the resources at the Archaeology Museum at the University of South Alabama which provides guided tours and on-site activities as a field trip destination for K-12 students.
