Chinatown Historic Walking Tour

Join us on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 2:00 – 4:00pm for two a special historic Chinatown walking tour*

Starting at the Chinese Historical Society of America, our group will leave the lobby of the Hilton San Francisco Union Square at 1:30 PM and walk to the historically landmarked Julia Morgan-designed Chinatown YWCA building to begin the special event at 2:00 PM. We will investigate an Urban Archaeology Exhibit-Unearthing the San Francisco Chinatown Garment Industry where participants will analyze an artifact.

$20 advance registration is required for the event. The registration deadline is extended to April 24, 2026. Transportation is not provided. This is a Society for American Archaeology Special Event co-sponsored by the Institute for Heritage Education and the Public Education Committee.
