Project Archaeology Explores the Bruce Lee Exhibit

Reminisce about your days of school outings, with a field trip program for grown-ups, where you will engage in museum activities to awaken the “child-at-heart”.
Join Project Archaeology on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM for a special tour at the Chinese Historical Society of America Museum. A group will leave the lobby of the Hilton San Francisco Union Square at 1:30 PM and walk to the historically landmarked Julia Morgan-designed Chinatown YWCA building to begin the special event at 2:00 PM. We will investigate an Urban Archaeology Exhibit-Unearthing the San Francisco Chinatown Garment Industry where participants will analyze an artifact.
Then participants will experience a docent led tour of the Bruce Lee exhibit!

$20 advance registration is required for the event. The registration deadline is April 16, 2026. Transportation is not provided. This is a Society for American Archaeology special event co-sponsored by the Institute for Heritage Education and the Public Education Committee.
